In the lobby & the room
A session has a warm welcome, a stretch of quiet focus, and a moment to celebrate at the end. Your camera and mic are your choice, your tasks are yours, and you can leave any time.
- What is the lobby?A green room before the session where you set up your camera, mic, and background.
- How do I set up my camera and mic?Use the buttons in the lobby or the deck to toggle and pick your camera, mic and speaker.
- Can I blur or change my background?Yes - pick blur or a scene from the sparkle button in the lobby or the camera menu.
- Why does it ask for my tasks?Naming what you are working on is the co-working ritual - and it keeps you accountable.
- Who can see my tasks?Only the tasks you add to a session show on your tile. Everything else is private to you.
- What is a chat-only session?A session with no voice - it never asks for your microphone, and you check in by chat.
- Can I keep the room visible while I work in other apps?Yes - Pop out on the room bar opens a small always-on-top window showing one person at a time, with the timer and your mic state.
- Why did my mic mute itself?When focus time starts, everyone is muted automatically so nothing breaks the quiet. You can unmute.
- How do reactions and celebrating work?Send a quiet emoji or set off a celebration from the deck - everyone in the room sees it.
- What is the little cheer when I finish a task?Tick a task done in the room and a little celebration floats up for everyone to see.
- How does the room chat work?Message the room from the Chat tab, drop in an emoji, or react to a message. Chat is private to that room and deleted after 30 days.
- How do I control the music?The music card has your own speaker and volume - separate from what anyone else hears.
- What are the chimes?Soft sounds that mark the change between welcome, focus and wrap. You can turn them off.
- What happens when the session ends?The room wraps up on time and takes you to a recap of what you got done.
- Is my session rating private?Yes - your focus rating is private to you and feeds only your own stats.
- What happens to tasks I did not finish?Session tasks end with the session. The recap lists the unfinished ones with a Keep in My tasks button; nothing asks you to decide.
- How do I thank the host?On the recap, send a quick emoji and a kind note - it shows on their public profile.
