Task Party is free for everyone until January 2027, then one simple plan. This section covers what it costs, how to manage it, how referrals work, and how to look after your account.
- How much does Task Party cost?Free for everyone until January 2027. After that, one plan at 9.99 a month. Everything is included.
- How long is the free trial?Everything is free until January 2027. After that, new members get 2 weeks free; early waitlist members and our first hosts get 3 months.
- How do I cancel my membership?Manage or cancel any time from Settings → Membership; access lasts to the end of the period.
- Can I pause my membership instead of cancelling?Yes - pause from Settings → Membership → Manage billing. Nothing is charged while paused; resume whenever you like.
- My payment failedStripe retries automatically; update your card in the billing portal to fix it.
- How do I manage billing, cards and invoices?Settings → Membership opens Stripe’s billing portal for your card, invoices and cancellation.
- How do referrals work?Share your link; when a friend’s first payment goes through, you both get a free month.
- How do I change my profile or photo?Edit your name, pronouns and details in Settings → Profile, and upload a photo there.
- What emails will I get, and how do I turn them off?Reminders, favourite-host alerts and a monthly recap - all switchable in Settings → Notifications.
- How do I change my email or password?Change your password in Settings → Account; email changes are confirmed both ways for safety.
- How do I delete my account?Delete it any time in Settings - it removes your data and scrubs your name from old messages.
- Why am I asked to start a membership to book?Booking, joining and hosting need an active membership - but you can always look around.
- My account says it is restrictedA suspended account can look but not book, join or host. Reply to the email to appeal.
