Is Task Party cheaper than Flow Club?
Yes. Flow Club is $40 a month, or $33.33 a month if you pay $400 for the year. Task Party is free for everyone until 1 January 2027 and 9.99 a month after that, with one plan and no tiers.
Both have a way to pay less. Flow Club gives 50% off to students, non-profits and qualified hosts. On Task Party, hosting 10 sessions a month makes membership free or half price.
Who runs the room?
Both Task Party and Flow Club have a person running the room, but they select and describe hosts differently.
On Task Party, members apply to become hosts and every host is approved by a person. The host welcomes people, runs the agenda and keeps the session moving. They are not paid coaches.
Flow Club says its hosts are volunteers from the community. It describes them as peers who work alongside you, not coaches or instructors paid to supervise or advise you.
So in both products, you are working alongside other members rather than paying for one-to-one supervision.
Do you have to be on camera or on the mic?
Task Party makes both camera and microphone optional, while Flow Club encourages camera use but also allows it to be turned off when needed.
On Task Party, the camera is never required. Sessions can also be set as chat only, which means you can join without using your microphone.
Flow Club says to stay on camera as much as you can, while adding that it is okay to turn it off if needed. It also offers non-verbal sessions for people who want a lower-energy format.
If keeping both camera and microphone off is important to you, Task Party makes that option explicit at the session level.
What happens if nobody else turns up?
On both Task Party and Flow Club the session still happens: Flow Club says nothing changes if other people do not turn up, and on Task Party the host is there and runs the session as planned.
Flow Club uses group rooms rather than matching you with one specific partner, so another member not showing up does not cancel the session.
On Task Party, the host is in the room and runs the session whether one person or a full room turns up. If a host cannot make it, the session stays on the schedule and another approved host can step in.
Which works in the UK and Europe?
Both are web products that work from anywhere. The differences are the currency you pay in and how times are shown.
Task Party charges in pounds, euros or dollars and shows every session in your own time zone. Flow Club showed dollar prices only on the pages checked, and those pages do not say how session times are shown.
Where Flow Club is better
Flow Club has a much bigger schedule. It says it has 1,200+ hosts and more than 2,500 live sessions every week. If you want to find a room at 3 AM on a random day, that size matters. Task Party is much newer and its schedule is thinner.
Flow Club also has named communities, including Neurodivergent, Entrepreneurs, Academics, Students and Writers. Task Party has different session styles, but it does not currently have equivalent named communities.
Flow Club has also been running since 2021 and says more than 400,000 sessions have taken place. Task Party entered beta in 2026. If you prefer a long-established platform with a much larger existing community, Flow Club has that advantage.
